Lesson Structure
Diagnostic
At OnlineStudyUK, all students begin with a diagnostic assessment before joining lessons. Students are given up to two weeks to complete the diagnostic test or tests. These assessments, alongside previous school reports provided by parents, allow us to accurately identify each student’s current level, strengths, and areas for improvement.
Classes
Lessons are delivered in small groups of no more than five students, with all students matched by academic level and exam board. This structure allows teachers to focus on exam technique, topic mastery, and individual understanding within each session. Teachers regularly check progress and adapt lessons to ensure students remain supported and challenged.

Recorded Lesson
All lessons are recorded for safeguarding and revision purposes, allowing students to revisit content and reinforce learning outside of lesson time.

Diagnostic
Using this information, we create structured lesson plans tailored to help students close learning gaps, move towards higher sets, or achieve the best grade possible. Lessons are carefully planned to support each student’s academic goals while remaining fully aligned with the UK National Curriculum and relevant exam board specifications.

Homework
Homework is set weekly via Google Classroom and is an essential part of the learning process. All homework is marked with detailed feedback. If a student fails to complete homework without a valid reason, parents will be contacted to ensure accountability and continued progress.

One - One Lesson
Structure
One-to-one lessons follow a different structure and are fully personalised to the student’s needs and preferences. Students can request specific topics or areas they would like to focus on, and the teacher will adapt lessons accordingly. These sessions provide flexible, targeted support designed to help students close learning gaps, progress to higher sets, or achieve the highest possible grades.
One-to-one tuition allows for accelerated learning, deeper exploration of topics, and focused exam preparation, all tailored directly to the student’s academic goals.
