Safeguarding & Child Protection Policy
Our Commitment
OnlineStudyUK is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children and young people. We recognise our responsibility to protect students from harm and to provide a safe, supportive online learning environment.
Scope
This policy applies to:

All students under the age of 18

All tutors, staff, and contractors working with OnlineStudyUK

All online lessons delivered via Zoom or other approved platforms
Safeguarding Measures

All tutors are DBS checked
-
Lessons are delivered on approved platforms only

All lessons are recorded for safeguarding and quality assurance

Students’ cameras must remain on during lessons

Only the teacher’s camera is visible to students
-
No student-to-student messaging is permitted
-
All communication is professional and learning-related only
Safer Recruitment
OnlineStudyUK ensures that all tutors:

Provide identity verification
-
Hold appropriate qualifications and experience
-
Complete DBS checks
-
Receive safeguarding guidance before teaching
Reporting Concerns
Any safeguarding concerns should be reported immediately to the Safeguarding Lead. Where a child is at risk of harm, appropriate action will be taken, including contacting parents or relevant authorities.
Safeguarding Lead:
Parental Involvement
Parents/guardians must provide consent before lessons begin and will be contacted if any safeguarding or engagement concerns arise.
Online Learning & Behaviour Policy
Expected Student Behaviour
Students are expected to:

Attend lessons on time

Keep cameras switched on throughout lessons

Behave respectfully towards tutors and others

Participate actively in learning

Complete and submit homework as required
Online Conduct Rules

Students may only message the teacher directly
-
Inappropriate language, behaviour, or disruption will not be tolerated

Lessons must not be recorded or shared by students
Teacher Expectations
Tutors will:

Maintain professional boundaries at all times

Deliver structured, exam-board-aligned lessons
-
Provide homework and feedback as outlined

Communicate appropriately with students and parents
Non-Compliance
If a student repeatedly fails to engage or breaches behaviour expectations:

Parents will be informed
-
Continued issues may result in removal from lessons without refund

Bookings & Payments

All lessons must be paid in advance

A £10 diagnostic test deposit is required and deducted from the first lesson package

Prices are clearly stated at the point of booking
Lesson Structure

Group lessons: maximum of 5 students, same academic level and exam board
-
One-to-one lessons available across all subjects, including university level
-
Lessons are delivered online and recorded
Cancellations & Missed Lessons

Missed lessons without notice are non-refundable
-
Advance notice may allow rescheduling at our discretion

No refunds for missed group sessions
Refunds
-
Diagnostic test deposits are non-refundable if the student does not proceed

Once a lesson package has started, refunds are not available
-
Exceptional circumstances are considered on a case-by-case basis
Removal from Lessons
OnlineStudyUK reserves the right to remove a student if:

Behaviour breaches policies
-
Safeguarding concerns arise
-
Repeated non-engagement occurs
(No refunds will apply in such cases.)
